In these videos created by the artificial intelligence program, a person is heard saying something they didn't say. They may be seen doing something they did not do. Video content that is distorted in the digital process is deadlier than traditional text and distorted images. This false information can pull people away or make people believe that it looks just like the original.

Deepfake, for a nation that is populous, with low literacy knowledge and racial proficiency - can pose a serious threat to a nation, says technology expert Prashant K. Roy, a news agency IANS.

Cyber-media research expert Prabhu Ram said that distortion of image and video has been going on for a long time, but video distortion like Deepfake can pose a real risk in the social context. These easy tools will be used to spread false information when it comes to the hands of the bad guy.

Recently an app called DeepNud Deepfake has been removed. That app recently became popular. The app had the ability to virtually overwhelm someone with just a few clicks.

The horror of such a video can be gauged from the fact that a Deepfake video was released last month by Mark Zuckerberg.

A BBC report in June reported that a video clip of a Zuckerberg video on a computer program similar to the Mark Zuckerberg spread. The video contains scenes like Zuckerberg talking or shaking his head. The video claims that an intelligence agency was behind Zuckerberg's success. The fake video was again posted on Facebook-owned Instagram. Facebook authorities have also said that they will not remove the video.

The video is essentially a 'Deepfake' video, created using Artificial Intelligence (AI). It can create different actions of a person using his / her picture.

Experts have expressed concern over Deepfake, saying that it would be more difficult to remove Deepfake content than to simply delete fake news or information.

According to a Pew Research study, most adults in the United States think distorted videos will confuse them with recent events and issues.

Deepfake will be the situation when people do not believe in what they see. Faith in people will be lost. The miscreants will exploit this opportunity to create false videos or content and try to falsify individuals, particular groups and communities.

Experts say the automatic detection process for Deepfake video capture is still in its early stages. However, in this case, there should be an opportunity to display such content by flagging awareness and technical support. Social media should also take appropriate steps in this regard.
