How medicine works in the human body:

Each drug works through certain receptors. Sometimes it activates that receptor, sometimes it deactivates it or sometimes it neutralizes the factor responsible for the disease. Each cell contains receptors where different hormones and neurotransmitters are added to produce different effects. For example, in our stomach cells, there is an ion pump called the proton pump which secretes protons (H +) from that parietal cell of the stomach into the gastric lumen. This means that this proton pump is responsible for the secretion of hydrochloric acid in the stomach. Our body's gastrin hormone activates this pump and secretes acid. Now if someone has high acidity, we give proton pump inhibitors to deactivate the proton pump. Such as: Omeprazole, esomeprazole. Those you know by the names of Sargel, Seclo, Maxpro, etc. They inactivate the proton pump, so there is no acid secretion. So the acidity also decreases. This is how drugs work.
Again, Antacid Direct reacts with HCl to soothe it. This is how medicine works.
